16.-19. juulil toimus Roosta Puhkekülas Nivea Surfilaager. Neli päeva kestnud surfilaagri päevad olid täis päikest, lohe ja purjelaua surfikoolitusi, laagrimelu ja head muusikat. Toimusid erineval tasemel võistlused nii algajatele kui ka juba tegijamatele surfaritele.
Laagris oli põhirõhk surfikoolitustel, mis toimusid lausa kaks korda päevas. Koolitused toimusid nii algajatele kui ka edsijõudnutele ja seda nii purjelauaga sõitmises kui lohesurfis. Koolitusi viisid läbi Eesti parimad lohe- ja purjelauasurfarid.
«Loeme surfilaagri õnnestunuks. Laager möödus ilma suuremate viperusteta ja laagrisse oli kogunenud üle 2000 inimese. Selline surfihuviliste külastajate arv on masu aegadel väga hea näitaja. Inimesed tulevad tagasi põhiväärtuste juurde. Purjelauaspordi menu on ka arusaadav, sest tuul on jätkuvalt tasuta,» ütles Purjelaualiidu peasekretär Jaano Martin Ots
Lisaks koolitustele toimusid Surfilaagris ka erinevad võistlused: näiteks meeleolukas SUPi ehk püstijala aerupaadi teatevõistlus, kus selgitati välja nii naiste kui meeste parimad tiimid.
Arctic Sport Pro2 Ladies Surf – vaid naistele mõeldud surfivõistlus, kust võttis osa 15 naist. Võistuse võitis kindlalt Maarja Niinemets, võites kõik kuus võistlussõitu. Lisaks kogenud surfarite võistlustele oli ka algajatel võimalus elu esimesel surfivõistusel osaleda.
Muusikalise poole pealt lõbustasid surfareid igal õhtul erinevad bändid, laupäeva õhtul astus üles aga The Tuberkuloited oma algkoosseisus. Korraldajad jäid üritusega rahule ja kinnitasid, et seda toredat üritust, mis juba traditsiooniks on kujunenud, korraldatakse kindlasti edasi.
